In Punjab, a new political ruckus has erupted in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit. The subject this time is CM Charanjit Channi's chopper. After Chandigarh, Channi's helicopter was also grounded in Sujanpur. From there, the CM intended to travel to Jalandhar where Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally was held. He was then obliged to travel by road. CM Channi reacted angrily to this, claiming that he is not authorized to campaign for political reasons. He is the state's chief minister, not a terrorist.
At the same time, PM Narendra Modi declared at a rally in Jalandhar that he was made PM candidate by the BJP when he was Gujarat's chief minister. Then he planned to campaign from Pathankot to Himachal. At the moment, Rahul Gandhi arrived. His helicopter was also grounded as a result of this. According to BJP leaders, it is an issue of the Prime Minister's safety. On this, the CM should avoid playing politics.
Earlier in the morning, the helicopter came to a halt in Chandigarh.
Channi was scheduled to fly to Hoshiarpur earlier in the day. He was on his way to Rahul Gandhi's rally. He had to fly from Chandigarh for this. For the PM's visit, however, a no-fly zone has been established in Punjab. Channi sat in the helicopter on the helipad for almost an hour as a result of this. He had to return home after that. Even though he had not received permission in the morning, CM Channi claimed that he had received permission at 11 p.m., but it had been denied on the previous occasion. After speaking with the officials, he was given permission to travel by helicopter. And according to sources, now, again Channi was denied to fly through his choppers. It has been two times in a day now.
