The Punjab government has promoted three IAS officers of the year 2000 batch. These officers have been promoted to the post of Principal Secretary, Finance Commissioner. The promoted officers include the names of 2000 batch IAS officers Rahul Tiwari, Alaknanda Dayal, and Kumar Rahul. These orders were issued late Tuesday evening.
However, until the three officers get posting according to their promotion, they will do duty at their current posting.
The official notification reads, "The Governor of Punjab is pleased to promote the following L.A.S. officers of the 2000 batch to the First Above Supertime Scale / Level 15 in the pay matrix of Indian Administrative Service w.e.f. 01.01.2025."
"Consequent upon their promotion to the First Above Supertime Scale / Level 15 in the pay matrix of L.A.S., the above-mentioned officers shall be designated as Principal Secretaries / Financial Commissioners to the Government of Punjab. They shall continue to work at his present posting in the higher scale till further orders."
