For a long time, India vs Pakistan matches have been limited to international events, making the ICC events all the more intriguing. In World Cup matches, India has met Pakistan seven times and has won each occasion.
In the upcoming T20 World Cup, the arch-rivals- India and Pakistan will face off for the first time in almost two years on the cricket pitch, in the match scheduled for October 24 in Dubai.
In the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak in India, the T20 World Cup relocated to the United Arab Emirates and Oman will begin on October 17, with all eyes on the match between India and Pakistan.
The 2021 T20 World Cup's main rounds will be held in three cities- Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi.
Last month, the ICC announced the tournament's groupings. In Super 12, there are two groups, each of which has six teams. India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, and the other two qualifiers from Round 1 make up Group 2. England, Australia, South Africa, and the West Indies make up Group 1.

The T20 World Cup will return after a five-year gap, with the 2020 edition in Australia being postponed owing to the COVID-19 crisis. The tournament was slated to be held in India in 2021, however, it was finally moved to the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
The qualifying stages of the tournament will be held in Oman and will feature teams like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Ireland, among others.
