Indian Cricket team skipper Virat Kohli, who already became the fastest to 11,000 ODI runs in this World Cup is grabbing eyeballs already with his spectacular form in the world cup. He all set to shatter another world record by becoming the fastest to attain the 20,000 International runs overtaking Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara.
Kohli has 19,963 runs (11807 ODI runs, 6613 Test runs, 2263 T20 runs) needs only 37 runs to achieve this huge milestone. When India takes on West Indies in the next ICC World Cup 2019 match at Old Trafford, Manchester on Thursday, Kohli Innings will be highly anticipated.
Both Tendulkar and Lara had taken 453 innings to complete 20,000 international runs. Kohli, On the other hand, has played only 416 innings so far-131 in Tests, 223 in ODIs, 62 in T20Is.
Kohli has so far missed his century but played crucial innings that led India to victories in all the three matches by smashing hat-trick of half-centuries -82 against Australia, 77 against Pakistan and 67 against Afghanistan.
The West Indies team possesses some of the strongest bowling line up in the tournament. The task for Kohli & Co. won’t be easy but it will be a great match. The Indian skipper is well aware of the fact that the Indian batting line up failed to the expectations in the last game against Afghanistan.
Kohli & Co would not like to repeat whatsoever happened in the previous game and they’ll take India one step closer to the semi-final spot. Meanwhile, the squad was forced to train inside due to rain in Manchester.
