Aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their business proposals to a panel of "sharks" in the hopes of receiving money on Shark Tank India. When multiple sharks are interested in the same business, a bidding war may ensue.
In the episode, Kapil brought up Ashneer's temper, to which the BharatPe co-founder said in Hindi, "Sometimes I get extremely irritated." We make the effort to be there, flying from Delhi to Mumbai, and someone offers you a stupid suggestion. What should I do to entice them? All I can say is that they should not waste their life and should seek other interests. I've also instructed individuals to leave the samples they brought with them at the hotel and not take them home."
In this episode posted by SET India, two girls from Bangalore came to pitch about their product showing that it can detect the level of the rottenness of the fruits and vegetables. It will be beneficial as there won't be any loss of such markets and much more. They asked for Rs. 1 Cr. in exchange for 0.25 equity which concludes the valuation of Rs. 400 Cr.
Hearing this, every shark got astonished and even discontent. Sharks gave various insights as well. Anupam said to be out of this deal but also angry for such an unrealistic valuation. Ashneer Grover gave very blunt feedback saying we are not here to joke "hasi majak karne hum bhi nahi aye" and you have no business sense. To which one of the pitchers said we didn't come here for the sake of a joke. To which Namita presents the difference between "hasi majak" and unrealistic. She also said that this was an unrealistic ask from their side.
Moreover, on Kapil Sharma Show, Ashneer Grover also apologized on national television for losing his cool with aspiring entrepreneurs. In an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, he explained that he goes from Delhi to Mumbai for Shark Tank and doesn't appreciate people wasting his time, or their own, time.
