The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021, the entrance exam for admission to the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) will be held on November 28. A total of 2.31 lakh people have registered for the CAT 2021 exam.
The test will be held in three shifts: 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., 12:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Results are expected in the second week of January 2022.
IIM issued admit cards/hall tickets for the exam on October 27. Candidates who have not yet downloaded their CAT 2021 admit card can do so at iimcat.ac.in, the official website of IIM CAT.
It is a computer-based test (CBT) and the question paper is divided into three sections - the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
and Quantitative Ability (QA).
The main point is there isn't much time left for the exam. So here are some things that candidates must keep in mind as they go to take the test.
- Candidates should arrive at the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the gate closes. The reporting time will be mentioned on the admit card.
- All candidates must download and print their admit cards on A4 size paper from the official website. The candidate's photo and signature should be printed properly on the admit card unless they could not be allowed to sit in the exam.
- Candidates must bring their printed admit card as well as their original ID.

- All candidates must attach a photograph to their admit card in the space provided. The photo should be the same as the one that was used during the application process.
- In the examination hall, mobile phones, electronic devices, watches, calculators, personal stationery, pens, wallets, and goggles are strictly prohibited.
- Candidates are not permitted to use physical calculators. They can use virtual calculators for any calculation.
About exam
- Candidates will have 40 minutes to answer each question. Each session will be extended by 13 minutes and 20 seconds for PwD candidates.
- Some of the questions in the CAT 2021 exams will be multiple-choice (MCQs), while others will be non-MCQs.
- Candidates will have the following options after answering the questions: Clear Response and Mark for Review and Next; Save and Next.
