Most parts of India are experiencing a heatwave, and it is expected that the increased temperature will continue to disturb the residents and citizens. Recently, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) announced that several parts of the nation will be dealing with extreme heat waves.
According to the announcement by the department, Central India will be dealing with intense heat until April 29, along with several states in the plains of Northwest India. Besides this, East India will also experience a heatwave until April 26.
The department has highlighted that the above-mentioned states will also experience heatwave until April 26. Along with this, a yellow alert for heatwave has also been issued for the states, including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and East Rajasthan, from April 25 to April 29.
In addition to this, several areas will experience hot and humid weather - the affecting parts will be Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Saurashtra and & Kutch, and some parts of Jharkhand. The IMD has also mentioned that the current situation may worsen in several regions in the upcoming days.
High temperature in Delhi -
Reportedly, New Delhi has been reporting high temperatures in recent days, and it is anticipated that the mercury will increase in the coming days. The expected temperature range for the capital city is between 40°C and 43°C, and the minimum temperature is expected to be between 18°C and 25 °C.
The Meteorological Department has asked the residents and citizens of Delhi to remain cautious amid the ongoing heatwave and to take all the necessary precautions. Notably, the sky will remain clear until April 26, and the temperature will reach its peak during the afternoon hours. The IMD has advised people to wear loose and comfortable clothes and to stay hydrated during the hot days.
Other parts of India -
As per the announcement by IMD, some parts of the nation will experience warm nights, along with extremely hot days. The states like Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, and Odisha are expected to experience warm nights in the upcoming days, whereas hot and humid weather is expected in states like Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Rayalaseema, Kerala, and Gujarat.
