On the third day of the second Test between India and England on Saturday, an event enraged netizens. Bottle corks were thrown towards Indian batsman KL Rahul by a section of the Lord's audience.

The two separate incidents happened on the third day of the second Test, a bottle cork was thrown at India's first-innings centurion K L Rahul from the spectators stand during the pre-lunch session, while an English fan dressed in India gear entered the field before tea.

During Mohammed Shami's 69th over, Rahul, who struck a brilliant 129 in the first innings, was spotted holding an object that appeared like a champagne bottle cork. Rahul, who was fielding near the boundary ropes at the time, was targeted following Shami's fourth ball. Virat Kohli, India's captain, was not pleased with the event and told Rahul to throw it outside.

Virat Kohli's video of him signalling KL Rahul went popular on social media, and the event drew a lot of attention. Twitter users slammed the unruly audience, calling it disrespectful.

The act angered India captain Virat Kohli, who was fielding in the slips, and he signalled him to toss it back to the fans. See video here.

Indian players were spotted talking to umpires Michael Gough and Richard Illingworth, and the game was momentarily paused. It wasn't clear whether it was just a tactic to get the umpire's attention or whether it was an official complaint.

A burly English supporter with 'Jarvo' written on the back of his shirt approached the field of play in another event that many Indian players found funny.

When security authorities approached, he pointed to the BCCI logo on his shirt and made movements as if attempting to set the field, much to Mohammed Siraj's laugh. See video here.

He was caught by security before being expelled from the stadium. Given that beer is permitted on English and Australian grounds, it is impossible to say if he was drunk.

Earlier this year, during the Indian team's tour of Australia, racial insults were directed towards Siraj, resulting to the ejection of several supporters from the Sydney Cricket Ground during the New Year's eve.

Back then, the Indian team had filed an official complaint with match referee David Boon, who had offered them the option of walking out.
Meanwhile in the match, England captain Joe Root scored his 22nd Test century to help his nation get back into the game after losing early wickets. India scored 364 runs in the first innings, leaving England 48 runs behind.
