However, the second day of the Test did not go well for India and Team India lost their remaining 7 wickets adding just 88 runs. KL Rahul was dismissed after playing an innings of 129 runs. Rishabh Pant (37) and Ravindra Jadeja (40) made significant contributions. James Anderson took five wickets for England. Captain Virat Kohli was dismissed after scoring 42 runs in the first innings.
