The Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 on Tuesday was announced with no single parties getting an absolute majority. However, the BJP-led NDA has almost sealed its victory winning seats over 290. On the other hand, the INDIA bloc also gave a strong fight to the BJP & NDA. In the meantime, a game of thrones has been started in India with the INDIA bloc reportedly trying to woo Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to rejoin their alliance and part ways from the NDA. On the other hand, BJP is banking big on its allies like JDU and TDP and PM Modi is expected to get support from the allies like Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu. In the meantime, the INDIA bloc belives all is not over for them and then can still prove their majority. Reports suggest that the INDIA bloc has offered Deputy PM post to Nitish Kumar. As a result, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray gave a massive update in INDIA alliance's PM face. Below is what Thackeray said-
"The day we formed the INDIA bloc, we had decided that we need to finish the dictatorship in the nation and save the Constitution. We can select the PM's face later and I feel we will take a decision regarding this tomorrow," said Uddhav Thackeray.
The Nitish Kumar Puzzle for BJP
In order to break PM Modi's hattrick, reports suggest that the INDIA block has offered the Deputy PM's post to JDU Supremo Nitish Kumar. A news portal quoted a source in the known development that the INDIA bloc has approached TDP and JDU as well. The source added that Nitish Kumar has been offered a Deputy PM post. Notably, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has already endorsed Rahul Gandhi's name as the PM face of the INDIA bloc.
Interestingly, on Monday, PM Modi and Amit Shah held private meeting with Bihar CM Nitish Kumar in New Delhi. While the counting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 was going on, PM Modi dialed Chandrababu Naidu. Thereafter it was reported that Chandrababu Naidu will be Andhra Pradesh's new Chief Minister. Indications are quite clear, BJP is trying hard that INDIA bloc does not break its NDA alliance. However, seeing Nitish Kumar's flip-flop history nothing can said until or unless Narendra Modi takes oath as PM of India for the third time.
