Maruti’s e-Vitara
Maruti has announced that it will be launching its first-ever electric SUV - the e-Vitara. The launch is anticipated to happen in mid-March. The design and features of the car were showcased at Auto Expo 2025.
The exact launch date has not been confirmed by the company, but the market expectations are high, and some reports have claimed that a few dealers are accepting the bookings. There will be two battery choices - 49 kWh and 61 kWh - providing the battery backup for more than 500 kilometers.
The price is estimated to start from ₹17 lakhs (ex-showroom).

MG M9 is expected to hit the Indian roads in March. Commonly retailed as Maxus Mifa 9, the luxury electric car is available for pre-bookings nationwide. The car will be the second retailed offering exclusively through the MG Select premium showrooms. For the first time, it was showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show, according to the details shared by carlelo.com.
The exact price of the EV has not been confirmed by the manufacturers, but the experts are anticipating that it will cost around ₹ 65 lakhs. MG M9 will have a 90 kWh battery, claiming to offer a WLTP range of 430 km on a single charge. The car will measure 5.2 meters in length and will have two sunroofs with ample cabin space.

Tata Safari EV
Tata showcased its two EVs at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show - Safari EV and Harrier EV.
Tata Safari EV:
Like the last two EVs, the Tata Safari EV will provide a trip of around 500 km on a full charge and will consist of a battery of 60 kWh. The exact launching date of the car has not been announced by the manufacturers; however, it is anticipated that the car will hit Indian roads in a few upcoming months.
The Safari EV Stealth Edition will offer features like seven airbags, dual zone AC, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and many more such things.
4. Mahindra XEV 7e
The manufacturers have confirmed that the Mahindra XEV 7e will be an electric version of the XUV700. Expectedly the car is expected to be launched at the end of 2025 with a starting price of around ₹ 20.9 lahks, according to carlelo.com. The car will be available in two battery packs - 59 KWh and 79 kWh, providing a journey of around 542 km and 656 km, respectively, from a single charge.
The car will be a seven-seater electric vehicle that will offer features like a panoramic sunroof, a premium sound system, a headlamp setup, and many more.
5. Kia Carens EV
Kia has announced the launch of Carens EV in India and has claimed it to be the most practical and affordable MPV in the nation.
The launching price of the vehicle has not been revealed. Carens EV will be available in a 42 kWh battery pack, offering backup for 390 km on a single charge. It will be equipped with a battery pack with a single 135bhp electric motor, which powers the Hyundai Creta Electric.
