Beijing: Post the refusal of India to participate in the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing this month, Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi said that the non-participation of India will not affect the relationship between two countries.
Wang also said that the friendship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping which was bolstered during the Wuhan summit last year would remain intact.
He went on to announce that both the countries were making arrangements for a second informal summit between the two leaders, likely in India during Xi forthcoming visited expected later this year.

India will be the only country who will not send its representative in the Belt and Road forum. The country had issues with a portion of the program, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor passes through disputed areas of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Understanding the concern of India positively, Wang said, “One of our fundamental differences is how to look at the BRI. The Indian side has their concerns. We understand that and that why we stated clearly on various occasions that the BRI, including the CPEC, is only an economic initiative.”
