The tussle between India Today and Republic TV is getting uglier day by day ever since the Mumbai Police has busted TRP Scam. While the Mumbai Police named Republic TV in the TRP scam case, the Hansa's FIR names India Today for suspicious viewership patterns.
Now Republic TV's Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami has made some serious allegations against its rival India Today. He said, "Last night everything changed for Param Bir Singh and India Today group. They wanted to close down the Republic media network instead they completely exposed themselves. The FIR in six places mentions grave allegations against the India Today group. There is not a single allegation on the Republic. Yet for strange reasons, Param Bir Singh refuses to investigate against the India Today group. Further, there are reports that the India Today group is unable to deny records that the rating agency found them guilty of grave violations and cheating the public on viewership ratings. For this, the India Today group allegedly paid a fine of Rs 5 lakhs which is an admission of guilt."
"I have nothing more to say this is all political. They want to take us out because we are putting out the truth on Hathras, on Sushant Singh Rajput's case They have problems that we question their inaction on the killing of Sadhus in Palghar. Now we have showcased the FIr, the Mumbai Police Commissioner will pick up anyone and terrorize him to give a statement against Republic. But on the India Today group on which serious facts have emerged Param Bir Singh silence will take him nowhere," added Arnab.
Meanwhile, the India Today group is yet to respond to the allegations made by Arnab Goswami, the Republic media channel reporter has been summoned by the Mumbai Police.
