The first One-Day International (ODI) between the Indian women's cricket team and the England women's cricket team took place in Bristol on Sunday. Shefali Verma made history by becoming India's first female ODI player. She is the youngest Indian cricketer to play for her country in all three international formats. In her ODI debut, the amazing young cricketer scored 15 runs.


Shefali, a Haryana native, took 17 years and 150 days to make her international debut in all three formats. She is the fifth-youngest player to make an international debut in all three formats of cricket. Afghanistan's Mujeeb ur Rahman stands at the top of the list.

Mujeeb made his international debut in all formats at the age of 17 years and 78 days. Sarah Taylor (17 years and 86 days) of England, Alice Perry (17 years and 104 days) of Australia, and Mohammad Amir of Pakistan are the next in line (17 years and 108 days).

Last week, Shafali Verma made her Test debut against England. In the only Test against England, she struck 96 and 63 runs in two innings, becoming the youngest batsman to achieve two fifties in her debut test. The Women's Test between India and England ended in a tie. Shefali debuted in T20 cricket in September of this year. With the help of three fifties, she has scored 617 runs in 22 T20 Internationals.

During the one-off Test between India and England, 17-year-old Shafali Verma made history. She smashed the record for the most runs scored by an Indian woman cricketer in a Test debut match, which had stood for 26 years. Chandrakanta Kaul's (75 runs, 1995) record was broken by the teenager.
