Politician's take on Air Strike by Indian Airforce

Politicians reacted with great contempt to the Pulwama Terror Attack on 14th February. With the same intensity, the leaders all across the country are praising the Indian Air Force for their susccessful attempt of air strike in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. The Indian Air Force used Mirage 2000 fighters destroyed a major Jaish terror camp across the Line of Control.

While addressing ex-servicemen at a rally in Rajasthan, Modi said, "I’m giving you the confidence that India is in safe hands… I understand your enthusiasm today… I won’t let India head bow down.” Congress president Rahul Gandhi was among the first politicians to react to the early morning strike.

“I salute the pilots of the IAF”, tweeted Rahul Gandhi at around 9:30 am with a tricolour symbols. In an hour, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee joined Gandhi and tweeted, “IAF also means India Amazing Fighters. Jai Hind.”

However, Mehbooba Mufti tweeted a neutral comment saying, “Post pre-dawn strikes carried out by IAF, conflicting reports coming in. Official communique by FS claims that terror training camps were bombed while Pak denied this & said that the planes made a hasty retreat after being spotted. Hope objective of both sides has been served".

Even the Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu who came into limelight for the supporting Pakistan after the Pulwama Attack, had also supported the Air Strike by the Indian Airforce. “In the war of right & wrong, you can not afford to be neutral, the war against terror outfits is spot on…Bravo Indian Air Force", tweeted Sidhu.
