In a shocking incident, an Indian bowler has died on the spot after he was hit hard on the head by a ferocious shot. The tragic incident took place while a regional match was underway in the Raj Nagar Extension's pitch in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on April 8th.
Divulging the details of the incident, it was a fast bowler's over, who threw the ball towards the batsman who received it well and hit it straight back towards the bowler. However, the smooth turn turned out to be drastic for the bowler on the field and he copped a blow on the head and fell straight to the ground.
Promptly after the mishap, players rushed to his aid however, could not save him as he died on the spot.
Notably, this is not the first stance where a player died on-filed. Earlier, an Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes (25) had died after being hit by the red ball on the neck back in 2014.

Hughes was rushed to the hospital immediately where he succumbed to his injuries.
Since then, the directions to wear protective gear for close-fielders and wicketkeepers standing close to the stumps appeared.
