With the year 2024 coming to an end, Google on Wednesday released the 'Most Searched' list of the year based on countries as well as overall globally. Google Most Searched 2024 has been doing rounds on social media with the search engine giant giving an insight into what people searched in a year. While the list varied in terms of countries, there is one Indian web series released on Netflix earlier this week that became the most searched TV show globally on Google.
Film-maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar made its way into the Google Most Searched TV Shows 2024. Along with Heeramandi, other TV shows that made the list included- Baby Reindeer, Fallout, House of the Dragon, Shogun, The Perfect Couple, Queen of Tears, Marry My Husband, 3 Body Problem and Nobody Wants This.

About Heeramandi
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar was released on Netflix on 1st May 2024. The series consists of a total of 8 episodes. Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is an epic saga based on the pre-partition era. The series stars Manisha Koirala as the queen of Shahi Mahal-Mallikajaan, Sonakshi Sinha as Farredan, Richa Chadha as Lajjo, Aditi Rao Haydari as Bibbojaan, Sharmin Sehgal and Alamzeb and Sanjeeda Sheikh as Waheeda. The movie also has Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman and more in pivotal roles.
Heeramandi is a women-centric series. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi is a series of elite tawaifs or courtesans living during the partition era. It is the portrayal of three tracks altogether. First rivalry between the tawaifs fighting for power and attention, second Nawabs of Lahore during British rule, and lastly a tragic love story between a Nawab and a tawaif.
