America is an ideal destination for may young Indians planning to go abroad in search of work or to get better education but it seems like to get this dream fulfilled, they will have to wait for a long time. As per latest information, waiting time to get an interview appointment for tourist visa to America is now around 3 months.
While on one hand waiting time to go to America on tourist visa is so long, on other hand people who work in America but have come to India to meet their families and wish to return back to America are also facing this problem. Indians who have gone on work visa to America after visiting India have to get verification stamp on visa to return which is now taking around 12 months. People working in America inform that although they want to visit India but can’t due to long waiting time.
In order to find a solution to this problem people are left with just two solutions, either pay a high amount of money to private agents for getting stamp on the visas or traveling to another country and get verified stamps from there as waiting time in other countries is comparatively less compared to India.
As more and more people are opting out for second option, Vietnam has become the most favorable country for them. According to latest data from Vietnam's tourism office, number of tourists from India has increased by 51 percent every month this year. By October this year, this number has crossed 82 thousand.
Officials of the US Embassy said that several steps have been taken to improve the visa situation.
