IndiGo pilot & her husband thrashed by locals in Delhi's Dwarka for torturing minor domestic help; arrested

High-voltage drama was witnessed on Wednesday in Delhi's Dwarka area when a women pilot from Indigo and her husband were thrashed by locals for allegedly hiring a 10-year-old minor as domestic help and torturing her. In the shocking video that has surfaced on social media, the woman pilot was dragged by hair from her home along with her husband who is also an airline staff and brutally thrashed by people present at the spot. IndiGo woman pilot video is now spreading like a wildfire and it is indeed disturbing to watch. In the video, the woman pilot was seen saying sorry, however, locals kept on thrashing her. On the other hand, the husband was also seen pleading the locals and trying to save her wife but he was also thrashed by the mob. The assault on the women pilot was so brutal that one of the men present there can be heard saying leave her or else "she will die'. However, another man says what about the child?

As per reports, the couple hired a 10-year-old girl as domestic help about two months back. Today, a relative of the girl spotted injury marks on her arms and informed the police. The girl was reportedly assaulted on the suspicion of theft. Following that some local residents heard of allegations that the couple would torture the girl and beat her up. As they saw the marks of injury on the girl's arms and under her eyes, a mob gathered and attacked the couple. Later, police reached the spot and arrested the couple. A case has been registered and further probe is on.

It is pertinent to mention here that True Scoop News cannot share the video of the assault and also it has decided not to share the picture of the minor which has gone viral on social media. Senior police officer from Dwarka, M Harsha Vardhan was quoted saying that they have also spotted burn marks on the girl's arms. "A medical examination has been conducted and the child has also been provided counselling. Based on her statement, we have registered a complaint under strict sections of Indian Penal Code, the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act. "

Indigo takes action against the woman pilot

Notably, after the video went viral, Indigo came into action as well. An IndiGo spokesperson was quoted saying that it is aware of a video circulating on social media that allegedly involves an individual employed by the airline. "We are currently investigating the matter. Meanwhile, the employee has been derostered from official duties," the spokesperson said in a statement.
