In a shocking incident, a 22-foot-long python swallowed a woman whole in Indonesia. On Sunday morning, Jahrah, a 54-year-old woman, left for work on a plantation in the Jambi region of Sumatra. When she did not come home that evening, her husband filed a missing complaint.
Her husband reportedly found her shoes, a headscarf, a jacket, and the tools she used at work while looking for her on Sunday night. A day later, villagers discovered a snake that appeared to have a huge stomach. The villagers cut open the python and discovered the woman's undigested remains.

It is believed that the python may have bit Jahrah before wrapping itself around her and swallowing her. It would have taken two hours or more.
Though the incidents of snakes swallowing human beings are rare but earlier, a huge python killed a farmer and swallowed him in the village of Salubriro, Sulawesi island.
Another case is of 2018, a woman was also found to be swallowed by a python on the island of Muna, off Sulawesi. She had disappeared while working in her garden, which was situated at the base of a rocky cliff where snakes were rumored to be living in the caves.
