The Infiltrator is an American crime drama thriller film. It is directed by Brad Furman and written by his mother Ellen Brown Furman. It stars Bryan Cranston as Mazur, with Diane Kruger as Kathy Ertz, Benjamin Bratt as Roberto Alcaino, John Leguizamo as Emir Abreu, Joe Gilgun and Amy Ryan as Bonni Tischler in supporting roles. It will start streaming on 1st November 2024 on Netflix.

The film revolves around a U.S. Customs special agent named Robert Mazur, who in the 1980s had helped in busting Pablo Escobar's money-laundering organization by going undercover as a corrupt businessman. He had exposed the money-laundering organization of drug lord Pablo Escobar. It is a story of one man against the biggest drug cartel in history.
Who is Robert Mazur?
Robert Mazur was a Federal Special Agent for the IRS Criminal Investigation division, the Customs Service, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. He is also the bestselling author of the memoir The Infiltrator. He is a court-certified expert in international drug trafficking and money laundering and is the president of KYC Solutions. He has appeared on over 1,500 radio and television shows.
Robert shared about the case of Pablo Escobar and said, “I was an administration and finance major, had an accounting background and had worked in a bank and a brokerage firm, so I was really the perfect candidate to play the role of a money launderer. So, I volunteered, and they put me into undercover training which was critically important. If I hadn’t have done that, I would have crashed and burned.”
Evelyn Mazur, the wife of Robert Mazur, had revealed the most challenging part of the mission. She said, “The most challenging part of the whole case, to be honest, was the idea of Bob having a fiancé and planning a wedding. For me, that was like time-out.”
“Ultimately came to the decision that it would be better for me just to go and stay in deep cover. I could come home when I finished the job and at that point, we'd determine whether or not we still had a life together,” said Robert Mazur.
