As price of fuel have touched Rs 100 march in India, it will going to have an effect on the price of other items directly or indirectly.
Surprisingly, #1MarchSDoodh100Liter trended on Twitter. Although, anything that trends on Twitter might not be true but this trend coming at a time when the farmers are protesting against contentious farm laws around the borders in Delhi and price of fuel has already skyrocketed, including the price of LPG cylinders.
What is the reality of this trend?
Farmers leaders protesting against farm laws have threatened the government that they will raise the price of milk. Farmers also said that the rising prices of various items was a conspiracy of a government to put an end to the protest.
Reportedly, one of the heads of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) stated that from March 1 farmers are going to increase the price of milk by Rs 50 per litre. Common people are fearing rise in price of milk to Rs 100 per litre if the prices are actually increased.
One of the sources quoted by Dainik Jagran also said that since the farmers are surrounded by the government at Delhi, now Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has decided to increase the price of milk.
As per reports, the farmers are allegedly of the viewpoint that if the government doesn't repeal the farm laws, they will increase the price vegetables as well.
If such reports prove to be true, the scenario across
India will exacerbate because rise in price will directly affect the disposable
income of people.
