Ludhiana Police shot and killed the notorious gangster Sukhdev Singh a.k.a Vicky in a violent encounter on Wednesday. The gangster was being pursued by the police on account of over 25 serious criminal cases against him. He and his 3 accomplices had been active for nearly 14 days. The 3 accomplices had been arrested prior while Vicky was on the run. Ludhiana police encountered him in Ludhiana last night where, after a long shootout injuring several police officers, he was shot and confirmed dead on the spot. Here are all the details about the events leading up to his death:
The gangster had been active for the past 14 days but the police have recovered records of his actions since December 8. Three of his accomplices, identified as Aryan Singh alias Raja, Sunil and Balwinder alias Bobby, had already been arrested while he himself was on the run. The miscreants reportedly used to rob and pillage in order to satisfy their drug addiction. They planned their attacks in advance from Macchiwara before entering the main city. Their targets included any shopkeeper or a passerby instead on any particular person.
The police say that a total of 28 Incidents can be attributed to the accused. The records for these 28 incidents are being confirmed by them. Recently 4 more major events, reportedly committed by the miscreants, have been brought into the light:
- The first incident occurred on December 8 where a person's bike was snatched in village Machhiwada.
- On December 9, at 11.05 pm, Rajput Medical owner Suraj was shot in the street in front of USPC Jain School. One lakh rupees, mobile-laptop were looted.
- On the night of the fourth incident of 10th December, a bullet was fired at accountant Sohan Lal who was sitting at a liquor shop in the area of police station Focal Point.
- On December 12, Four robbers at gunpoint snatched 45 thousand rupees and 4 mobile phones from money exchanger Basant Kumar on Kohada-Machiwada road in Third Kumkalan.
The following possesions were confiscated from the deceased gangster Vicky and his three associates: 1 pistol 32 bore, 2 rounds 32 bore, 1 lighter, 1 stolen Apache bike, 1 Pulsar bike and 1 Splendor bike
Vicky has been involved in the world of crime since 2006 and several of his family members have multiple cases registered against them. Him and his gang operated out Macchiwara and reportedly used to commit robberies in order to satisfy their drug addiction.
