In light of the farmers protest, the government announced the temporary suspension of internet services in Punjab. In orders from the ministry of Home affairs, internet and telecom services will be temporarily suspended in 3 districts of Punjab until 12:00 AM (Midnight) on February 16. The services will be suspended in these areas of Punjab:
Shatrana, Samana, Ghanour, Devigarh and Balbhera in Distt. Patiala.
Khanauri, Moonak, Lehra, Sunam Chaji in Distt. Sangrur.
Fatehgarh Sahib in Distt. Fatehgarh Sahib.
The protest is in full swing with farmers blocking the railway tracks today until 4 PM. 3 union ministers are set to have a meeting with the Farmers today evening regarding their demands and a peaceful resolution to the protest.
