The Interpol on Tuesday has issued a Red Corner notice against the wife of Nirav Modi, who is prime accused in the Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud case of over Rs 13,000 crore.

Reportedly, the notice has been issued in connection with the money laundering case against Ami Modi in India.

As per Interpol, a red notice is a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action.

Notably, Ami Modi had fled from India along with Nirav Modi and other family members in the first week of January 2018. However, the PNB scam was discovered a month later by authorities.

Ami Modi, reportedly, was a director in a few companies which Nirav Modi allegedly used as fronts to launder money.
