Security forces in Punjab have begun an investigation after a motorcycle blast took place in Jalalabad of Fazilka district on September 15 (Wednesday), leaving one dead. Agencies are speculating
that the blast could be a well-planned conspiracy thus probing the case from various viewpoints.
The forensic team from Mohali has reached Fazilka to collect evidence from the site of the explosion. NIA is also expected to indulge in the investigation.
The most pressing question following the explosion is why the bike on which the blast occurred lacked a number plate. Agencies are also investigating the possibility of a link between this
blast and the tiffin bomb case.
Meanwhile, the family of 22 years old killed in the blast is inconsolable. The victim is identified as Luv, a resident of Ferozepur.
Jyoti, the sister of the deceased has alleged that he was on his way to see her when the incident occurred. Reportedly, the oil tanker of the bike burst and caught fire in the bank bazaar
in Jalalabad.
The house of the deceased youth (22) along with the neighbourhood is also being investigated by the police. Several police teams have been deployed at the village of the deceased. The blast
could be an accident, however, Punjab being a border state makes the case serious.

The call records of the deceased's cell phone are being examined, according to a senior official. Police are investigating the deceased's mobile number, which was issued in the name
of Balwinder Singh Binder.
Multiple officials, including Punjab Inspector General of Police (Ferozepur Range) Jatinder Singh Aulakh, paid a visit to the scene. SSP Fazilka Deepak Hillori said that it is too early
to comment on this. "We're investigating the situation.”
“The majority of the residents of border village are involved in drug or liquor smuggling." The cops are also looking into whether these smugglers have been involved in any terrorist
activities. In addition to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the CID and Army Intelligence are also gathering information.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has ordered high alert in the state following the arrest of four more members of an ISI-backed terrorist module involved in a bid
to blow up an Oil Tanker with an IED tiffin bomb last month, making it the fourth case of a Pakistani terror module being busted in the state in the past 40 days.
