An Invisible Victim: Eliza Samudio Real Story and what happened to her dead body
Brazilian model & actress Eliza Samudio was murdered in June 2010 by star Flamengo's goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes's friends and family members- his cousin and nephew. While Bruno Fernandes was not directly involved in the murder of Eliza, he was convicted of keeping the Brazilian model and her infant child as hostage and ultimately planning her murder. However, Bruno till date denies killing Eliza Samudio.
Eliza Samudio was horrifically strangulated to death by 'Bolo' who was allegedly linked to goalkeeper Bruno. After strangulating Eliza Samudio, Bolo reportedly dismembered her body. Multiple reports suggest that Bolo fed Eliza Samudio's body parts to dogs. However, when the cops tested the dogs, they never found Eliza Samudio's body parts. Thereafter, the cops tried to find Eliza Samudio's body parts around Bolo's house but they still could not find it. Ultimately, Eliza Samudio's dead body was never found to date by the authorities. But by the confession of Bruno's friend Marraco and his nephew Jorge, Bruno was convicted of murder even though Eliza Samudio's body was never found.
Why Eliza Samudio was killed?
As established in the documentary, Eliza Samudio was one of the girlfriends of Brazilian footballer Burno Fernandes. While Eliza Samudio was pregnant, a news writeup linked up Bruno to another woman as his fiance. This enraged Eliza Samudio and hence she came forward & talked to the media saying that she was pregnant with Bruno's child. As per the documentary, Eliza Samudio only wanted to keep Bruno's child and hence she did not accept to abort it. On the other hand, Bruno was accused of forcing and threatening her to abort the child since he was a rising Flamengo goalkeeper and had a chance to make his way through the Brazilian national team.
Before coming in contact with Bruno, Eliza Samudio tried to make her career in the adult film industry when she shifted to Sau Paulo. However, ultimately she shifted to Rio De Jenerio leaving her adult film career behind, and met Bruno at one of the parties through a mutual friend. From there, Eliza Samudio and Bruno started to secretly date each other.
Notably, the documentary showcased that Eliza Samudio tried to seek help from the cops repeatedly accusing Bruno of threatening her and her infant son. But, the cops as well as people on social media did not believe her. In fact, Bruno himself denied the claim that he was the father of the child calling Eliza Samudio a 'Crazy Woman'.
When Eliza Samudio became a mother and returned to Sau Paulo she remained in contact with the media. Bruno found out about Eliza Samudio's whereabouts and hence he visited her there. Bruno allegedly asked her to come to Rio along with her son and he will give his name to the child. Furthermore, Bruno promised an apartment to Eliza as well. Believing him, she returned to Rio, but she was kept hostage at Bruno's ranch for several days. Finally, Eliza Samudio was taken to Bolo's house where she was murdered.
