Rolling out the features equally for Android and Apple users, WhatsApp has decided to bring some new features for its iPhone users. As per the reports of WhatsApp in WABetaInfo, the instant messaging app has released a new update--version 2.20.100.23--for the beat users which can now enjoy the new features such as mute option, shortcut to catalog, and traces of expiring media content.
As of now, these features have only been rolled out to the beta users of the app but in the coming days, general users can also try their hand on it.
Divulging more about features via report, it suggests that WhatsApp is releasing an 'Always' mute option for group chats. This feature will allow users to put a certain user or group on a permanent mute rather than for a maximum of up to a year. Apparently, the "mute for 1 year" option will be replaced by the "mute forever" option for group chats.
What's all in shortcut to catalog?
WhatsApp will add a single call button for Business chats. This feature will allow the user to choose the call type, once the user taps on it. In case a business has the catalog feature configured, a shortcut to it will appear in the navigation bar.

What about the expiring media feature?
Currently, this feature is being spotted for Android users but, need not worry, it will soon be rolled out for the iPhone users. However, when it will be out is not certain, you will surely be able to access it.
"When the feature will be available in a future update, a new button will be added," says the report.
We assume that you don't know much about the expiring media feature but, it has been under speculation for over a year now. However, it is accessible by some of the Beta users, it is still to roll out for the general masses.
