Kolkata Knight Riders have put a mammoth total of 218 runs on board after being invited to bat first by Kings XI Punjab at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Andre Russel played yet another blitz scoring 47 off just 15 balls hitting Mohammad Shami for three consecutive sixes.
Earlier, Robin Uthappa and Nitish Rana scored fifties in which Rana hit Kings XI for 7 big sixes scoring 63 runs off 34 balls.
Uthappa also played a beautiful knock of 67 runs off 50 balls.
Kings XI bowlers were taken on strongly by the KKR batsmen with Russel showing his batting prowess yet again.
