The sixth match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and SunRisers Hyderabad in the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday.
The match actually witnessed a tough fight between the teams as for once it seemed that SRH would maintain its lead over RCB while the other moment it became apparent that the RCB would make it early to top the table.
And this happened, RCB's Glen Maxwell and Shahbaz Ahmed pulled off victory their team by defending 6 runs from SRH. David Warner, captain of SRH, smashed an outstanding 49th fifty in his IPL career which however was not sufficient to win the match.

SRH today had to chase 150 run-target and in the last over their world turned upside down as RCB restricted the former at 143 runs in the 20th over. In the 16th over, SRH had 115/2 while to collect 28 more runs they lost as many as 7 wickets. In the 17th over, RCB left-arm spinner Shahbaz Ahmed bowled marvelously and took 3 wickets.
By winning today's match, RCB ended their 6-year-long wait for a win in their first two games of an IPL season.
Notably, RCB played the first match of IPL 2021 against Mumbai Indians which they won.
