India's former off-spinning wizard Harbhajan Singh on Wednesday announced that his contract with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has come to an end. The Turbanator played for the CSK franchise in the 2018 and 2019 season, However, Harbhajan Singh had decided to pull out of IPL 2020, held from September-November in the United Arab Emirates, due to personal reasons.
Announcing his end of the contract, Harbhajan wrote, "As my contract comes to an end with @ChennaiIPL, playing for this team was a great experience..beautiful memories made &some great friends which I will remember fondly for years to come..Thank you @ChennaiIPL, management, staff and fans for a wonderful 2years.. All the best."
Ahead of IPL 2021, the deadline for player retentions is January 21 and the trading window closes on February 4. Till 6 pm in the evening, every franchise of the IPL team will be releasing its list of retained and released players. Most of the eyes will be on Chennai Super Kings as they are likely to release many players. Speculations are high that they will release Kedar Jadhav, Piyush Chawla, and Murli Vijay.
