In the third significant match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has made a glorious win over Sunsrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 10 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
SRH strived hard to chase the target perhaps KKR restricted the opponent to 177 for 5 in 20 overs to emerge victorious in the match. With this, KKR has collected 2 points from their campaign opener.
SRH Manish Pandey, Jonny Bairstow, and Abdul Samad played off well however, could not beat the target set by KKR.
SRH had managed to make 61 runs in 44 deliveries with 2 boundaries, 3 sixes while Bairstow scored 55 and Samad made 19 on 6 balls and was not out.
KKR pacer Prasidh Krishna took 2 wickets for 35 while Shakib Al Hasan, Pat Cummins, and Andre Russel got one wicket each.

Notably, Russel secured 21 runs in the last over which made KKR's Dinesh Karthik victory smooth.
This win was KKR's 100th in the IPL history and has now become the third team to achieve consistent triumph in this league. As of now, Mumbai Indians is the highest winner with 120 wins while Chennai Super Kings stands second with 106.
KKR's opener Nitish Rana (80) and Rahul Tripathi (53) hit half-centuries pushing the team to a challenging score of 188 for SRH.
In the last over, Dinesh Karthik scored 22 runs off 9 balls to establish a run target against SRH.
