In a major rejig by the Government of Punjab, the Department of Home Affairs on Wednesday transferred 2 IPS officers in the state. The Home Affairs Department (Home-1 Branch) has issued orders for the transfers and new appointments of two senior police officers on administrative grounds.
According to the notification issued by the Punjab Government, IPS officer Surinder Pal Singh Parmar, who was previously serving as ADGP, Law & Order, Punjab, has now been appointed as the Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab. He will replace G. Nageshwar Rao.
Additionally, IPS officer G. Nageshwar Rao, who was earlier serving as the Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, has been transferred. He has now been given additional charge of the post held by Surinder Kumar Srivastava
