(Report by Ashishpuri) 2016 batch woman IPS Vatsala Gupta, who is appointed as the new SSP of Kapurthala assumed her charge today.After the promotion as DIG Rajpal Singh Sandhu transferred to PAP-2 on Saturday as DIG. IPS Gupta was earlier posted as DCP Headquarters in Amritsar. Before this, she had served as ADCP in Jalandhar, ADCP in Ludhiana, and other districts. As soon as she took charge, Gupta held a crime review meeting with the district officials. During this, she said – If anyone does criminal activity in the district, should be arrested immediately. Vatsala Gupta said- Drugs will be completely eradicated in the district.
