Hardeep Nijjar, Hardeep Nijjar Killing, Hardeep Nijjar ISI, Hardeep Nijjar ISI Killing; In a new twist in Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar's killing in Canada, Pakistan secret service ISI's link has surfaced. As per News 18 which quoted sources in known development who said that Rahat Rao and Tariq Kiani are two ISI plants in Canada who are doing maximum work for ISI. They are even handling terrorists who are coming from India to Canada and under the most-wanted list.
As per the report, ISI is most likely behind the killing of Hardeep Nijjar. Hardeep Nijjar was very close to the likes of Nitta, etc who is currently based out of Lahore. But, these groups were losing their influence and ability to try and execute the project and control the market. Largely the funding came from drugs and gangs. So, Tariq Kiani and Rahat Rao were tasked with reorganising the entire network there and Nijjar had become a liability. So, there is a huge possibility that these elements took down Nijjar because of the gang rivalry, and a reorganization is being done of the ISI. ISI perhaps wanted fresher blood, younger groups. Nijjar's involvement was also being questioned for his involvement with certain members of the Canadian polity and the ISI was uncomfortable but his growing stature and his position within the Canadian system itself was making some elements of the ISI uncomfortable.
For the unversed, India and Canada have been at diplomatic loggerheads over Hardeep Nijjar's assassination. The diplomatic relations started crumbling between India and Canada when in September last year Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused "agents" of Delhi of being involved in killing Nijjar. He claimed "credible information" had been shared with intelligence partners, including the US. India, though, has said it has not been presented with evidence to back the charges.
In the past few months, Nijjar's killing has started to grab headlines again. Canadian Police accused Indian Government of working with Lawrence Bishnoi gang and carrying out targeted killings of Khalistani elements in Canada.
