India vs England Day 2 of the 4th Test went underway on Saturday with Joe Root & Ollie Robinson stretching the first innings total further. While the first hour belonged to England with Robinson registering his first-ever half-century in an international Test match, his dismissal opened the gates for Rohit Sharma & Co. Amid the tense battle between India and England in Ranchi, the hilarious banter between Sarfaraz Khan and Shoaib Bashir has left the fans into splits on social media.
Shoaib Bashir-Sarfaraz Khan's banter took place when the English off-spinner came out to bat. When Shoaib Bashir was taking his guard to start his innings, Sarfaraz Khan standing at the silly point stated that , "Issey Hindi Nahi Aata" (He does not know Hindi). In response, Shoaib Bashir stated that "Thodi thodi aati hain Hindi" (I know a bit of Hindi). This left everyone in laughter that Bashir actually knows Hindi and Team India may not have to talk in Hindi in front of him. However, Bashir was soon dismissed by Jadeja after he went for a wild slog.
For the unversed, Shoaib Bashir is of Pakistani origin. Bashir's tour to India was a controversial one. The English media accused India & BCCI of deliberately delaying his visa. Thereafter, it was revealed that Bashir's visa delay was not due to his Pakistani origin but incomplete paperwork.
