A procession will be organised in the city on 16th October for the birth anniversary of Lord Valmiki. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal has issued orders for holiday after 2 pm on October 16, 2024 in government and private educational institutions (schools, colleges and ITIs) under the limits of Jalandhar Municipal Corporation. According to the orders issued, a procession is to be organised in Jalandhar city on October 16 and these orders have been given keeping in mind the sentiments of the people.
