After a one-year switch to a virtual format, the Game Awards were back in live and in-person style. This year's Game Awards featured more than 50 games. It Takes Two was the night's
big winner, taking home three prizes, including Game of the Year 2021 (GOTY), Best Family Game, and Best Multiplayer Game.

Geoff Keighley, a former journalist who founded the show in 2014, produces and hosts the ceremony, which celebrates the video game industry and serves as a promotional vehicle for upcoming
game-related media.
The event is attended by guests and nominees who are video game developers, streamers, esports athletes and industry executives. This year's Game Awards served as a display for new titles
as well as a celebration of some of the greatest from 2021.
