Liberation Day in Italy is celebrated to mark the end of Nazi Germany occupation during World War 2.

Bella Ciao is a resistance anthem of Italians, originally popularised by paddy-field workers of the 19th century. Those workers used to sing the anthem to protect against the grinding labour conditions in the paddy field of North Italy.
Over the period, many modified versions of Bella Ciao has been recorded. To quote, most recently, Bella Ciao also featured in the crime drama Money Heist.
