Randy Zuckerberg, the elder sister of the founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg, on Facebook's 15th anniversary revealed some facts about the initial phase of Facebook and how she left Facebook in 2011 and started her own media company because she felt a lack in the number of women working in the company.
"Even after 15 years in Facebook, not much improvement has been there in the number of women working for Facebook. Initially, 50 employees were there working for Facebook and I was one of the rare women in the workspace of Facebook" said Randy about the lesser number of women working for Facebook.
"The world of technology is dominated by men and women are being continuously marginalized in the tech industry. Role of women in Silicon Valley is very difficult. I am happy with the work I did for Facebook but having more women in my workspace was also an important thing for me" said Randy Zuckerberg.
