On the 72nd Republic day of India, President Ram Nath Kovind greeted the people of the nation and invoked emotions when he said that soldiers ensure the security on the borders while farmers of the nation ensure food security.
It is an irony where the soldiers and farmers of the nations who both contribute a lot in our country's growth and development and the nation that gave the slogan of 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisan' are standing against each other.
Farmers are carrying out a tractor rally to protest against the contentious three laws. They are urging the government to repeal these laws. Similarly, in any law and order situation, it is the soldiers who are told to protect the civilians and public property in case of any possibility of any untoward incident.
As per media reports, the police has been firing tear gas shells and using water cannons to disperse the farmers and prevent them from moving towards the outer ring road. Similarly, the farmers are dismantling the barricades to march on.
The situation has become topsy-turvy with soldiers and
farmers against each other on the Republic day of India. Riot control force has
also been called by the police.
