Smuggler Jagdish Bhola held guilty by Mohali court in 6000cr drug racket; to be imprisoned for 12 years

The Punjab based smuggler was convicted with an imprisonment of 12 years in two cases

The special CBI court of Mohali on Wednesday held the drug smuggler Jagdish Bhola guilty of the charges alleged on him in the 6000 cr scandal.

The case was filed in 2013 when the former DSP and former player got arrested with 29 kg heroine where he mentioned Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia involved who was later given a clean chit in the case.

A group of 24 more people has been proven guilty and is set to be imprisoned as per the proven charges against them. 

Palwinder and others have been released in the FIR 56 while the people arrested on the basis of FIR 56 and FIR 50 have also been released from the charges alleged against them. 

The conviction of Bhola comes as a landmark one because of the drugs being made an election agenda by the political parties and no potential action being taken.
