The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police led by Commissioner of Police Mr Swapan Sharma has arrested two criminals and also recovered a stolen motorcycle from these accused. The Commissioner of Police said that Police had got the information that two criminals were planning to commit crime in the city.
He said that Police laid a seize at Baba Budha Ji Bridge when they stopped Harish Kumar, son of Chetan Das, resident of H.No. WJ 29, Balmiki Mohalla, Basti Gujha, Jalandhar, and Deepak, son of Harish Kumar, resident of Dhuma Wali Street, near Phoola Wala, Jalandhar.
Mr Swapan Sharma said that during the investigation the criminals admitted that they had committed multiple crimes in the city. He further revealed that the Police had recovered a stolen motorcycle from them as well.
He said that a FIR No. 202, dated 10.12.2024 under Sections 304(2) and 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Basti Bawa Khel, Jalandhar. Further investigation into the case is underway and details will be shared later.
