Jalandhar Commissionerate Police returns seized properties worth 13 crores to rightful owners

Jalandhar Police organized a special event Arpan Samaroh and returned 413 vehicles, 85 mobile phones, numerous household items, jewellery, and other domestic goods, which had been part of 583 different cases registered in the city over the past years.

Under the leadership of Sh. Swapan Sharma, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police organized a special event, "Arpan Samaroh," aimed at returning seized properties to their rightful owners. This initiative was designed to foster trust among citizens by returning hard-earned belongings that had been either stolen, snatched, or involved in various criminal cases.

As part of the event, Jalandhar Police successfully returned 413 vehicles, 85 mobile phones, numerous household items, jewellery, and other domestic goods, which had been part of 583 different cases registered in the city over the past year. The total value of the returned properties is estimated at approximately Rs. 13 crore. 

Additionally, around 100 lost smartphones, valued at Rs. 20 lakhs, were handed over to their owners after being traced through the CEIR portal. The camp saw the participation of numerous complainants, who attended eagerly to reclaim their lost properties. The event was supported by 14 jurisdictional SHOs and the SHO of the Women’s Police Station, who worked diligently to ensure the return of the seized items to their rightful owners. The grateful recipients expressed their appreciation to the police for their dedicated efforts.

Ms. Baljeet Kaur said that her smartphone was stolen, and she filed a complaint at PS Division No. 4, Jalandhar. She expressed her deep appreciation for the swift recovery and return of her phone by the Police Commissionerate Jalandhar.

Mr. Manjit Singh recounted that his mobile phone was lost at Dhilwaan Chowk, Jalandhar, in August, and he had lodged a complaint at PS Rama Mandi. He expressed profound gratitude to the Punjab Police for their prompt action in recovering his phone.

Ms. Jyoti said that her mobile phone was misplaced at Jyoti Chowk, and she filed a complaint at PS Division No. 4, Jalandhar. Initially, she had lost hope of recovering it, but today, with the effective action of the Punjab Police, she was able to get her phone back. She sincerely thanked the Jalandhar Police for their unwavering dedication.

Sh. Rakesh Kumar stated that his phone was lost at Devi Talab Mandir, Jalandhar, and he had filed an online complaint. He conveyed his heartfelt thanks to the Punjab Police for their diligent efforts in recovering and returning his phone.

Sh. Arvind Kumar shared that his phone was stolen, and today, thanks to the efforts of the Punjab Police, he was able to recover it. He expressed his deep gratitude and commended the police for their swift and dedicated action.

Sh. Ravi Kumar r/o Tej Mohan Lal, Jalandhar, reported that his Activa was stolen and he had filed a complaint at PS Division No. 5, Jalandhar. He showed his sincere thanks for the successful recovery of his Activa, crediting the dedicated efforts of the Punjab Police. 

Sh. Arun Kumar reported that his motorcycle was stolen, and he had filed a complaint at PS Division No. 3. Today, he received his motorcycle back and commended the initiative, praising the Punjab Police for their diligent efforts and unwavering commitment.

Sh. Parmod Kumar, r/o Katra Ucha Singh, H.No. 1661/7, Amritsar, reported that his car was stolen. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Punjab Police for successfully recovering his car and returning it to him. He commended the dedication of the Punjab Police and praised their efforts in ensuring the recovery of his property.

Sh. Hardeep Singh reported that his car was stolen from the Industrial Area, Jalandhar, a few months ago. He said he is extremely thankful to Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, and all other police officers for their efforts in successfully recovering his car.
Sh. Sarwan Singh, resident of Mehma, Kapurthala, Distt. Jalandhar, reported that his car was stolen, and he subsequently filed an F.I.R. at PS Division No. 1, Jalandhar. He expressed his sincere appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the Jalandhar Police, who successfully recovered his car and returned it to him. He commended the efforts and initiative of the Commissionerate Police Jalandhar for their exemplary work.

Sh. Swapan Sharma, IPS, emphasized the importance of returning seized properties in a timely manner, stating that this ensures the property retains its value and remains in a usable condition. He added that such initiatives not only promote the welfare of the citizens but also contribute to their overall security and well-being. Sh. Sharma also announced that more such camps will be organized in the future to further strengthen the bond between the police and the public.
