Jalandhar Commissionerate Police traces double murder case; accused arrested from Noida with 3 pistols

The Commissioner of Police said that Police started investigation into the matter with scientific technique and human intelligence after which the accused Munish Kumar was arrested from Noida.

 The Jalandhar Police Commissionerate led by Commissioner of Police Mr Swapan Sharma has solved the double murder case by arresting the key accused of crime from Noida along with three pistols and magazines. 

Divulging the details, the Commissioner of Police said that FIR No. 03 dated 04.01.2025 u/s 103/109 BNS, 25/54/59 Arms Act, Police Station PS Rama Mandi Jalandhar was registered on the statement of Harjinder Singh alias Mani Walia. He said that Walia had said that on the midnight of 03/04.01.2025, his friends Vinay Tiwari, son of Sepoy Tiwari, resident of Uttam Singh Nagar Basti Sheikh Jalandhar, and Shivam, son of Ashwani Kumar, resident of House No. 556-B near Park Mota Singh Nagar Jalandhar, came to his room with their friend Munish Kumar alias Mani Mithapuria, who said that they had to leave Hoshiarpur at 5 am. Mr Swapan Sharma said that Walia informed that three of them started arguing about something in the room, and Harjinder Singh alias Mani went to sleep. 

The Commissioner of Police said that In the morning, Walia heard gunshots at around 4 o'clock and saw Munish Kumar Mani Mithapuria firing at his friends Vinay Tiwari and Shivam. He said that  Vinay Tiwari died on the spot, and Shivam succumbed to injuries after being taken to the Civil Hospital in Jalandhar. Mr Swapan Sharma said that the key accused had fled from the spot.

The Commissioner of Police said that Police started investigation into the matter with scientific technique and human intelligence after which the accused Munish Kumar alias Mani Mithapuria was arrested from Noida. He said that three pistols, 32 bore, along with magazines, were recovered from him. Mr Swapan Sharma said that further investigation into the case is going on and details will be shared later.
