Jalandhar Commissionerate police uncover conspiracy to sell infant, rescue baby in just 24 hours

The Commissioner of Police said that it was revealed that the kidnappers had intended to sell the child but were thwarted by the police, a motorcycle and auto rickshaw used in crime were seized.

The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police led by Commissioner of Police Mr Swapan Sharma has foiled a conspiracy to sell an infant by recovering three months old child kidnapped from city within 24 hours.

Giving the details, the Commissioner of Police said that Police had received a distress call regarding the kidnapping of a three month-old child from a colony near Village Dhillwan, Jalandhar. Acting swiftly, he said that Police reached at the spot and started investigation into the matter. Mr
Swapan Sharma said that a F.I.R. No. 289, dated 25.12.2024 u/s140(3), 137, 61(2) BNS was registered at Police Station Rama Mandi, Jalandhar. 

The Commissioner of Police said that To locate the child, dedicated police and technical teams were deployed.  He said that based in sceintific investigation and human intelligence the accused involved in the crime were identified as Baljit Kaur wife of Baljit Singh, Baljit Singh s/o Jaswant singh, resident of H.no. 516, Dakoha, Jalandhar, Rinku Lamba s/onKashmira Singh resident of Shahkot, Jalandhar present resident of Salem Tabri, Ludhiana and Manoj Kumar alias  Lucky s/o Nirmal Das resident of Dhanowal, Jalandhar. Mr Swapan Sharma said that the Police arrested the accused and successfully recovered the kidnapped child within 24 hours. 

The Commissioner of Police said that it was revealed that the kidnappers had intended to sell the child but were thwarted by the police. He said that a motorcycle and auto rickshaw used in crime were seized from them. Mr Swapan Sharma said that further investigation into the case is going on and details will be shared later.
