Ever since coronavirus pandemic has gripped the nation, Jalandhar district of Punjab has maintained its status by being coronavirus hotspot. Despite strict enforcement of lockdown+ (curfew), cases have never shown a decline, raising concerns for health authorities and district administration.
Jalandhar on Monday has witnessed a sudden spurt in the number of coronavirus cases as 47 people have fallen prey to the infection.
Reportedly, of 47 cases tested positive for the contagious disease, a family of 8 and 5 from Bhargav Camp and Ram Nagar area have contracted the infection. The health authorities have come into full swing to trace and test the contacts of the infected patients to curb the further spread.
