In an effort to tackle approaching covid19 third wave, the Jalandhar District Administration has announced new covid guidelines. The administration has released the guidelines two days after Punjab government imposed a few mandatory curbs while leaving the decision for more restrictions upon the Deputy Commissioners depending on the situation in their respective districts.
The new guidelines come into effect from today and will
be followed till August 31.

Only passengers who are fully vaccinated, or
Covid recovered, or with negative RTPCR report of last 72 hrs shall be allowed
entry in District Jalandhar. In Case a passenger doesn’t have either of these,
RAT testing shall be mandatory.
· Passengers traveling by flights shall be mandatorily required to be fully vaccinated, or Covid recovered, or with negative RTPCR report of last 72 hrs.
· Gatherings shall be restricted to not more than 150 persons indoors and 300 persons outdoors subject to an upper limit of 50 % of the capacity. Artists/ musicians shall be allowed at such functions / celebrations in all areas with due COVID protocols.
· All bars, cinema halls, restaurants, spas, swimming pools, coaching centers, sports complexes, gyms, malls, museums, zoos, etc. shall be allowed to operate at 50 % of their capacity subject to all staff present being fully vaccinated of Covid recovered.
· All users of swimming, sports and gym facilities shall be persons over 18 years who have taken at least one dose of the vaccine. Strict COVID protocols shall be put in place for operations.

· Colleges, Schools, coaching centers and all other institutions of higher learning shall continue to open subject to the condition that only fully vaccinated, or Covid recovered teaching, non-teaching staff and students are allowed to be physically present. Option of online leaning must be available to the students.

0.2% should close primary classes 4 & below until situation improves.
