Tightening noose around licensed travel agents already booked in criminal cases, District Administration Jalandhar has today revoked the license of one such agent after the recommendation with this regard was received from Commissionerate Police.
Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that the administration had issued lines to Sunjay Sharma of M/s Saar Enterprises for travel agency and tickting and the license was valid till July 12, 2023.
He said that the Commissionerate Police had recommended the cancellation of this license citing registration of criminal case against the license holder besides other complaints. As per police report a case under section 420,406 of IPC was lodged against the accused in PS New Baradari while some other complaints were also pending against him.

Thori said that a show cause notice was issued to the accused on March 25, 2022, which remained unanswered, thereby the administration has cancelled his license.
