On Friday, Jalandhar Police demolished the houses of three brothers who are said to be notorious drug smugglers, near Shri Kabir Mandir in Bhargav Camp, Jalandhar.

Bhagwant Singh Mann Government's Yudh Nashian Virudh campaign is continuing in Punjab. Under Yudh Nashian Virudh campaign, the Punjab Government has initiated bulldozer action against the drug peddlers and smugglers. On Friday, Jalandhar Police demolished the houses of three brothers who are said to be notorious drug smugglers, near Shri Kabir Mandir in Bhargav Camp, Jalandhar. The accused, led by Varinder Singh alias Maula, along with his brothers Rohit and Jatinder, were infamous for drug peddling in the region. On Friday morning, the police deployed heavy force in Bhargav Camp.

Senior officers of Jalandhar City Police were also present on the spot. The police were ready to prevent any situation from deteriorating. Even after stopping the three brothers several times, they were not refraining from selling drugs. 

According to the records of the Punjab Police, the most notorious smuggler among the three brothers is Varinder Singh alias Maula. All the drug business runs under his supervision. At the same time, about half a dozen cases of drug smuggling are registered against the three brothers. The accused was arrested by the police with 1 kg of heroin during the last Lok Sabha elections.
